In June 1996, "Emprametal, José Maria Oliveira" was established, located on Rua da Bouça Longa, about 1 km from where it currently has its premises, with only 4 machines and one employee. From the outset, the founder sought to establish a solid reputation, giving Emprametal the necessary notoriety to be recognized as a well-prepared company with adequate technical knowledge. Since that time, the premises have undergone successive refurbishments, and the factory layout has been increased year on year. In 2021, the Company moved to its current premises. 

In terms of equipment, in response to market demands, Emprametal has followed a policy of acquiring CNC Lathes and presses. In terms of main markets, it is present in the automobile, electrical and household appliances sectors. Emprametal has had its quality management system certified by ISO 9001 since 2009.
